Outdoor Activities

Bicycling - Join other locals and members of the Carolina Cyclers as they take on bicycle rides from 10 miles to over 200 miles. You can join now for less than $20 and pick from their extensive calendar of rides, attend their non-riding events and receive their monthly newsletter. Overnight and weekend events are also offered for the serious riders.

Canoeing/Kayaking/Fishing/Hunting - Take a kayaking trip, fishing class, or learn the basics of backpacking at Adventure Carolina. Currently there are trips and classes scheduled for every Saturday and Sunday and plenty of the other days in between. Check them out and pick the one right for you.

Saluda Shoals Park offers canoe and kayak rentals and guided trips. If you're in the mood to stay on land, take your place on one of the horse trail rides where you can learn the basics or improve your horse back riding skills.

Muddin' - If you love a good mud run, take a little trip to Wagener, SC. Mud runs, mud bogs and rodeos are all events put on at the Wagener Salley Mud Racing Complex. Tennis - Tennis instructions are being offered by The City of Columbia Parks and Recreation for beginners or intermediate players on Tuesdays. Lessons are $40 per session (4 classes/60 minutes) and are held at Columbia Tennis Center and South East Park and Tennis Center.

Wakeboarding - Columbia's first wakeboard school is now offered at Carolina Wake. Day camps begin May 15 and run all summer from 9am-4pm. Come ride and learn from the area's most qualified coaches.

Baseball - Go out and support our USC Gamecocks Baseball Team...their season is ending soon!
